Andrew Pierce is a Senior Engineer responsible for a £2B portfolio of bridges, retaining walls, highway structures, and other critical infrastructure assets. Working within local government, he leads complex engineering projects involving ageing infrastructure, geotechnical risk, asset resilience, and structural maintenance, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and external partners to deliver practical, sustainable solutions.

With extensive experience in structural inspection, risk management, and emergency response, Andrew has developed expertise in balancing technical, financial, and environmental pressures while maintaining the long-term performance of public assets.

Andrew has also worked as a teacher, and brings strong communication and leadership skills to his technical role. A passionate advocate for sustainable asset management and knowledge sharing, he joins the panel at ICG Live 2026 to discuss resilience, innovation, and the stewardship of ageing infrastructure in an increasingly challenging operating environment.
