Vara is the Civil Engineering Director of High Speed Two (HS2) Limited. He is a chartered engineer and a Fellow of the ICE. His 25-year career spans global and cross-sector leadership on transportation/civil-aviation, offshore, oil & gas, power generation and infrastructure projects. In addition to Civil Engineering qualifications, Vara also holds a Master’s Degree in Information Systems and is a professional Member of the British Computer Society.
