Ben’s railway journey started on the Network Rail graduate scheme and has taken him from muddy boots on site right through to strategic business planning. He is a railway professional and Chartered Civil Engineer specialising in the management of railway structures.

Seeking insight into the behaviour and performance of the Victorian railway bridges we rely on to carry the modern railway service is fantastically complex challenge. Ben enjoys sharing knowledge and continues to learn as Network Rail trials new approaches to inspection and maintenance that will help pass these assets sustainably into the stewardship of future generations.
