Davood is the chief bridge engineer at BuroHappold and leads the firm’s dedicated “Bridge and Civil Structures” team from London. He is a practicing engineer involved in analysis, design, inspection, strengthening and independent checking of many highway structures, railway and architectural pedestrian bridges for over 30 years. He has a doctorate in the field of long span suspension bridges obtained from the University of Bristol. He has previously worked for Robert Benaim & Associates and Flint & Neill. He has designed steel, concrete, composite, segmental box girder bridges with years of experience in construction. His client portfolio includes projects with local authorities and municipalities as well as with private sector clients, developers and contractors.
Davood is proud to have worked with many architectural colleagues on competition winning designs including the Ponte della Musica in Rome and the New Danube Bridge in Budapest. He is a Fellow of and a Professional Reviewer for the Institution of Civil Engineers.
