major bridge manager – forth road bridge , Amey
Angus is Amey’s Major Bridge Manager for the Forth Road Bridge, he graduated in 1985 from the University of Strathclyde and became a Chartered Civil Engineer with the ICE in 1993. Angus joined Amey in 2006 as their STRU SW Bridge Manager and in June 2015 took on the role of Major Bridge Manager at the Forth Road Bridge, where he oversees the day to day inspection, maintenance and major refurbishment works on the bridge. In December 2015, Angus led the design and construction team who undertook the emergency repairs to the failed Truss End Link on the Forth Road Bridge and then led the team for the £10M replacement of the remaining 7 truss end links. Other recent works include, the four yearly FRB main cable NCHRP inspection and the Demag Expansion Joint replacement, which is currently being undertaken.
